Turkey, with a wonderful nature and geography with seven four seasons. The historical ruins that combine warm coasts and tourism towns, plateaus and civilizations in summer are the ones that attract our attention the most. Well, in the winters what is done in this country. We talked about its nature so much that we have beautiful places to impress you in the winter.
1- Kapadokya, Nevşehir:
I’m talking about a place that will fascinate you not only in summer but also in winter. If you have not yet gone to Cappadocia, I highly recommend you to go. I went about 12 years ago, saw and admired. It’s been over that long and I’m thinking of going again on my first chance. The first thing that comes to mind when Nevsehir is mentioned is fairy chimneys. It is even one of the symbols of our country. You can see these beauties with the most beautiful balloon tour. You can also visit Cappadocia’s exquisite wine cellars and sample delicious wines.
2- Uludağ, Bursa:
Uludağ is one of the symbols of Bursa and is one of the first places preferred by skiers. It is approximately 1 hour away from Bursa city center. In fact, not to be seen as a head, the winter season is too crowded. Our country is the first place that comes to mind when the ski resort is mentioned, I guess you do not go.
3- Palandöken, Erzurum:
Palandöken is a ski resort established at the foot of the Palandöken mountain. If you don’t know, Erzurum is the highest provincial center of our country. It is possible to see snow scenery for 6 months especially in winter. I did not go before, but according to comments; It is one of the most popular ski resorts after Uludağ. In terms of installation and snow to stay that long is the biggest factor. It has increased its popularity and proved its quality by hosting winter games. Palandoken ski resort is about 4 Km from the city center and 15 Km from the airport. You can reach Erzurum by air from many places and enjoy your winter holiday.
4- Yedigöller, Bolu:
I’m talking about a place where you can admire the nature of the Western Black Sea region. Yedigöller is one of the first national parks of our country. Photographers and nature lovers visit during the autumn season. Because all the trees carry the colors of autumn. Yedigöller, which is located within the borders of Bolu province, is about 40 km away from the city center. Entrance to the national park is chargeable and is definitely one of the places you should go and see.
5- Ilgaz, Çankırı:
Located in the dense oak forests of Çankırı, in the Ilgaz mountain range, the Ilgaz ski resort is 2850 meters high. It is located on the border of Kastamonu and Çankırı. Not suitable for advanced skiers, the ski resort is ideal for beginners. The ski resort with many facilities and hotels is about 40 km from the city center.
6- Abant Gölü, Bolu:
We mentioned above the Seven Lakes. Lake Abant is a lake and national park separate from these lakes located in Yedigöller National Park and is one of the rare beauties of Bolu Province. It is a crater and pond lake formed on Abant Mountains. Located at an altitude of 1328 meters, the lake takes on a different beauty in every season of the year. You can enjoy various sporting activities around the lake such as picnics, camping, nature walks. Hotels and accommodations around Lake Abant are available. It is located about 40 km from the city center of Bolu.

Perhaps one of the coldest places in our country, Sarıkamış is located at an altitude of 2200 to 2900 meters. The area is covered with famous pine forests. It is located 4 km from Sarikamis city center and about 55 km from Kars city center. It is one of the 5 first priority ski resorts in Turkey. There are a variety of accommodation and hotels available and you can use the Sarıkamış ski resort.
8- Kartepe, Kocaeli:
Kartepe ski resort, located at the peak of Samanlı Mountain of Kocaeli, is one of the most beautiful places preferred by holidaymakers and ski lovers in winter. It is very popular because it is close to Istanbul. Hotel or bungalow-style accommodation is available in the ski resort. Kartepe is 30 km away from Kocaeli city center and about 1.5 hours away from Istanbul.

It is located on the Erciyes Mountain which is one of the highest mountains of our country and Kayseri. The ski resort, where various hotels and accommodations are available, is one of the most important ski resorts in Central Anatolia. The Facility is 25 km from Kayseri city center. You can reach the ski center from Kayseri or Develi direction.
10- Kartalkaya, Bolu:
This is the third time I will talk about Bolu. Kartalkaya is one of the ski resorts of Bolu which is a wonderful province with its nature. It is especially popular in winter tourism. The highest peak of the ski resort on the Köroğlu Mountains is 2200 meters high. Winter sports is one of the first facilities that come to mind. Accommodation and hotels are available, Bolu city center is about 38 Km away.
Bonus: Pamukkale, Denizli:
Our country has so many places to visit. After ten items above, I wanted to tell you about Pamukkale. Pamukkale is a place of four seasons visiting the area too much. If you go during the winter season, you can enjoy the warm thermal pool. White travertines formed in Pamukkale are rock formed by precipitation as a result of chemical reaction due to various reasons and environments. There are 17 hot water sources in the region. The temperature of the water from this source varies between 35-100 degrees. Next to Pamukkale travertines is the ancient settlement of Hierapolis. These sources have been used actively since ancient times. I went about 2 years ago and it was very crowded. The travertine travels of these visitors cause deterioration over time. Even thermal water is drained in a controlled manner. At some points, the white image began to moss and caused image pollution. Therefore, water is not discharged to the same points. There are many thermal hotels and accommodations in the area. It is located 17 km from Denizli city center and 70 km from the airport.
